‘Nyay Patra’: Congress releases manifesto, focuses on ‘five pillars of justice’

NEW DELHI: The Congress Party on April 5, 2024, announced its manifesto-‘Nyay Patra’ for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections at the AICC Headquarters in Delhi. The ‘Nyay Patra’, released by the Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge alongside former Presidents Smt. Sonia Gandhi and Shri Rahul Gandhi, Chairman of Manifesto Committee Shri P. Chidambaram and AICC General Secretary (Org) Shri K.C. Venugopal, focused on the Party’s commitment to justice through its ‘five pillars.’

‘Nyay Patra’, the manifesto centered around ‘YuvaNyay’, ‘NaariNyay’, ‘KisaanNyay’, ‘ShramikNyay’, and ‘HissedariNyay’.

It encompassed the pledges made by the Party in its electoral promises for the upcoming polls. While launching the manifesto, comparison between UPA and NDA eras and claimed that the former surpassed the latter in terms of economic growth. The Party also said that it will conduct a nationwide Socio-Economic and Caste Census to enumerate the castes and sub-castes and their socio-economic conditions and it will pass a constitutional amendment to raise the 50 per cent cap on reservations for SC, ST and OBC. The Congress Party also said that it will work for the upliftment of weaker sections of society with its ‘PaanchNyay and Twenty-Five Guarantee’ focus.

The Congress Manifesto was compiled after carrying out nationwide consultations and after receiving thousands of suggestions via email and our ‘Awaaz Bharat Ki’ website, as per the Party. The function was attended by the CWC Members, Office-Bearers, Congress workers and large number of media persons.
