The Goods and Service Tax Bill hailed today by the ruling party as one of the biggest fiscal reforms since independence was passed by the parliament finally. The same Prime Minister Modi as Chief Minister of Gujarat, during UPAs tenure, was vehemently in opposition to the introduction of this reform.
