Spokespersons: Smt. SupriyaShrinate, Ms. Ragini Nayak, Ms. Alka Lamba, and Ms. Amrita Dhawan: Smt. SupriyaShrinate greeted everyone and said, “This is a very important issue and today the whole country wants some answers. Because the anti-Dalit and anti-women face of the Modi government has once again come to the fore. It has been 8 days today to a heinous crime against a 9-year-old girl in the capital of the country where she was brutally gang raped and her body burnt in the crematorium. Her mother kept pleading that this should not be done but her family eventually got only her half-burnt legs.
The government objects when Rahul Gandhi ji raises the voice of justice for that daughter on August 04, hugging her bereaved family members, wiping their tears and encouraging them.
Today was the time for you to meet the opposition. Today was the time to forget mutual differences and fight for justice, talk about justice. But you didn’t do so. Your petty politics still didn’t stop. I want to ask that the National Commission for Schedule Caste is an institution made by the Constitution, whatever they showed on the 2nd or the 3rd, if Shri Rahul Gandhi showed the same content on the 4th, then what’s wrong with it? Their tweets are still there, nobody messed with their account, but why did everybody mess with Rahul Gandhi’s tweet?
Modi Ji, as a woman, I feel sorry at your helplessness and your gluttony for power. Being a woman, I feel shameful at your insensitivity.
Smt. Ragini Nayak said that the public sees the government as its guardian and expects the government machinery to be used for their safety. But how Modi government uses this mechanism to oppress women is very unfortunate. This is the reality of our society. ‘Caste atrocities are also a reality in this society.’The Modi government has been labeled as anti-Dalit and anti-women.
Smt. Alka Lamba said that on one hand the daughters of India were earning a name in hockey in the Olympics and in other sports, while on the other hand at the same time, inside the capital of India - Delhi, our 9-year-old girl was being raped and killed by the barbarians. When a woman MP was asked why you did not raise this matter seriously in the House, she said, ask Om Birla ji. You are an MP, you are a woman minister, why didn’t you dare to go there?
Till the time the Parliament session lasts, we will keep demanding a discussion on this that Parliament session should be devoted entirely to women and their safety for one whole day.
Smt. Amrita Dhawan said that whenever a heinous crime is committed against a girl belonging to the exploited, deprived section of this country, the whole system comes together to conspire and to tarnish that daughter and her family. The whole world is watching the manner in which the democracy of this country is being continuously disrespected. We want to say through this platform that this is Rahul Gandhi’s army, it is not afraid of anyone. We again demand that this girl should get justice. Time bound justice should not be brushed aside and the accused should be hanged within 6 months. Sunday, August 8, 2021
