Deteriorating law and order situation in Bihar

Spokesperson: Shri Kanhiya Kumar: He expressed grave concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in Bihar, stating that criminals had no fear of law and they were roaming around freely. He also pointed out that the education system in the state had completely collapsed under the JDU-BJP regime and this was time to change the regime. Nobody was feeling safe in the state as the criminals were having a free run, he said.

He also raised concern over the deteriorating education system in Bihar. He said, the place renowned for Nalanda University and where Guatam Budh achieved enlightenment, has now suffered a serious decline in the field of education. He disclosed that the principals of the colleges were now being appointed through a lottery system. He quoted the Vice Chancellor as saying that with so many claimants for postings in the urban areas only, the lottery system was the way out. He wondered, how would the education system work in Bihar under such circumstances, the graduation degree that takes three years everywhere in the country, takes five years in Bihar he said.
