Spokesperson: Shri Pawan Khera: He said that Friends! We are here to discuss a very-very serious issue. A conspiracy was hatched against a popularly elected government between 2010 and 2014. One of the co-conspirators, one of the Chief, Prime co-conspirators, Mr. Vinod Rai apologized yesterday to the former Congress MP, Sanjay Nirupam and he admitted that he had lied. This conspiracy has been exposed time and again over the last 7 years. Twice, through the Court in the 2G auction issue, coal block issue, when courts came down heavily, gave a clean chit in 2G and gave a clean chit to Dr. Manmohan Singh in coal and I am adding the exact quotes of what the court said, “Absolutely no hesitation in holding that the prosecution has miserably failed to prove any charge against any of the accused, made in its well-choreographed charge sheet”, Special Judge O P Saini had observed in the 1522 page 2G Spectrum Judgement on December 21, 2017. The Central Bureau of Investigation gave a clean chit to former PM Dr. Manmohan Singh on September 21, 2015, in the Coal Allocation case. The actions of Vinod Rai throughout in retrospect were proven to be that of a conspirator and not that of a government official.

Current Developments Furthermore, Vinod Rai made categorical statements in the media while publicizing his book that he was told to keep out the name of the Prime Minister from the 2G report by then Congress MP and PAC member Shri Sanjay Nirupam among others. Immediately after this allegation was made, Shri Sanjay Nirupam held a Press Conference denying this concocted lie by Vinod Rai. This so called man – Vinod Rai of such high moral integrity as glorified by the media, in an affidavit dated October 20, 2021 say, “…That I have realised that, in answer to questions posed to me by the interviewers, I had inadvertently and wrongly mentioned the name of Shri Sanjay Nirupam as one of the MPs, who pressurized me to keep the then Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh’s name out of the CAG report on the 2G spectrum allocation during the meetings in the PAC or the sidelines of the JPC etc.,..” Further he goes on to say, “That the statements made by me against Shri Sanjay Nirupam, as televised and published, as above stated, are factually incorrect…” “…would like to offer my unconditional apology for the hurt caused by my such statements to Shri Sanjay Nirupam, his family, friends and his well-wishers.” Let us not forget that he was also associated with the sham of a movement called India against Corruption whose key players along with himself:

• Anna Hazare has retired to his village and forgotten everything about Corruption and Jan-Lokpal;
• Baba Ramdev – becomes among the richest BABAs in India getting heavy discounts from BJP ruled state governments since the Modi Government came to power;
• Arvind Kejriwal – who famously lied, “I will never fight elections in my life. And I don’t want to hold any post in my life, I have no political ambitions…” floated his own party and is now the Chief Minister of Delhi and is successfully implementing the agenda of the BJP.
• Dr. Kiran Bedi – who swore to be apolitical and against corruption was made BJP’s face during Delhi Elections and subsequently made the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry too, but not one word about corruption;
• Gen. V.K. Singh– who suddenly contests elections from the BJP and is rewarded with MoS (I/C) for Development of North Eastern Regions and Statistics &Programme Implementation along with MoS rank in the Ministry of External Affairs.
• Vinod Rai himself happily accepted the position of the Banks Board Bureau Chairman when it was established in 2016 and remained silent while the 11,500 crores scam happened in PNB under his Chairmanship.
• Arnab Goswami – who would run shows after shows on “leaked draft reports” prepared by the CAG, was the anchor who interviewed Vinod Rai, wherein lies were told about pressurizing the CAG to omit the name of the PM from a report already tabled in the Parliament. Alas, he today owns a news channel. This clearly shows how the then Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) Vinod Rai had, along with his buddies from the India against Corruption farce movement, orchestrated a criminal conspiracy to destabilize and bring down a constitutionally elected Government that was working for the welfare of the common citizens of the country, especially the poor and the marginalized. The most significant question is, who is the mastermind behind all of this? Who hatched the criminal conspiracy to destabilize a democratically elected Government? Who worked hard to derail a sound economy and defame an honest and capable Prime Minister?
• We demand that Vinod Rai apologize to the entire nation in the same manner that he unconditionally apologized to Shri Sanjay Nirupam yesterday.
• We demand that Vinod Rai return to the government treasury all the facilities which were given to him as a reward or as remuneration subsequent to his retirement;
• We urge that he spend his post-retirement life providing his continued services to the RSS located at Reshim Bagh in Nagpur which was secretive until now can be done openly.
• We also demand that all those puppets, who were involved in this treason by becoming co-conspirators, should also apologize to the country. Coming to their master, the people of India will give their master a befitting reply. Friday, October 29, 2021
