Spokesperson: Smt. Alka Lamba: She said that today, on September 15, 2024, the All-India Mahila Congress is going to successfully complete 40 years of its establishment. The All-India Mahila Congress was established exactly 40 years ago on September 15, 1984, at the Congress Convention in Bangalore, Karnataka. It was established by the country’s first woman Prime Minister, Bharat Ratna Martyr Smt. Indira Gandhi. Today, while remembering Smt. Indira Gandhi, paying tribute to her, we take a pledge that the All-India Mahila Congress has been fighting and will continue to fight for the economic, political and social justice rights given to half of the country’s population, the women population, in the Constitution.

In 40 years, Mahila Congress has travelled a very difficult journey, there were struggles, challenges came up, but Mahila Congress kept fighting for the rights of women. Today, the National President of the Congress Party, Honorable Mallikarjun Kharge Sahib has sent us a message through a tweet.
