Spokespersons: Shri Praveen Chakravarty, Shri Pawan Khera and Ms. Supriya Shrinate: Shri Praveen Chakravarty said-We will be embarking on a very vigorous drive to attract professionals from various segments to join the cause for a progressive and prosperous India. We hope that this will not only attract people to join us for the second phase of the Yatra… because it was professionals who actually joined the Yatra in great numbers in the first phase and there were many requests from people, who otherwise have not been involved in politics, to come and participate in the Yatra… So, we are launching this membership drive as an opportunity for people to come & participate in this second phase of the Yatra as and when details will be announced.
We are also using this to expand the ambit of the representation across various professions. So, we have reorganized the All-India Professionals’ Congress (AIPC) to focus on six broad domains of professionals Business; Arts and culture, which includes movies and films; Academia and civil society; Sports…. we also have gig economy, which is one of the fastest growing sections of our economy and our labor force…. and then finally, self-employed professionals such as lawyers, doctors, chartered accountants, architects and others. We have also designed a new system of varying levels of involvement because many… very often people come and tell us that we want to get involved but we don’t know how, or we want to be on the outside but we support the ideology that we are fighting for.
The Congress Party has a rich history of providing space and respect for professionals that come from outside. The three of us sitting here… me, Pawan Ji and Supriya Ji are clear examples of that. And let’s not forget the last Congress Prime Minister of India who’s a quintessential professional Dr. Manmohan Singh. We are also glad that we have three professionals from diverse domains who will join All-India Professionals’ Congress (AIPC) today.
We call upon professionals of all domains to join us and it is very simple. You just have to go to www.profcongress.in and that’s all it takes to become a member of the All-India Professionals’ Congress. Thank You! Friday, December 22, 2023
