Modi Govt. is crushing the common man with Inflation

Spokesperson: Dr. Abhishek Manu Singhvi: He said that Friends, this is extremely serious and we come to you with this message across the country because there is nothing more than this kind of a kick in the solar plexus of the common man. Modi Sarkar’s continuity, consistence and coherence are restricted to achieving phenomenal and extra ordinary heights of Inflation, Unemployment and Taxation.

This unprecedented inflation is destroying households, decimating budgets, discouraging investment, making a living hell for, especially the common man and the medium sector.

Three figures are important friends, just three figures. I must compliment the Modi Sarkar for making India achieve unprecedented heights of achievements. Truly, You Mr. Modi and Your Sarkar have made India Number one. Number one in what- we are per litre Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) cost, world’s most expensive place for LPG. Number one in the world, in the reverse direction for LPG cost in real terms and this is very important, people are misled by comparing nominal prices, not real prices. Real prices are based on how much one dollar can buy and how much one rupee can buy on the basket of goods, the purchasing power capacity of that money. On that equivalence, India is number one as the most expensive place on planet earth for LPG.

India is again, thanks to Modi Sarkar number three in the world as far as purchasing power parity of petrol is concerned and as far as PPP price is concerned, India is 8th highest in diesel. Friends, this is the reality of all the Jumlas you hear, all the sermons you hear.

They had predicted an inflation rate of 4.5 per cent for financial year 2023. Today, the Governor, Mr. Das has said that we want you to revise your figures from 4.5 to 5.7 per cent on inflation. Now just let’s look at the few figures of inflation direct and simple, I don’t want to burden you with too many figures. Eight months high of retail inflation is now going on, 6.07 per cent. Wholesale price inflation is 13.11 per cent, high in the double-digit arena.

Food prices have jumped to 14 months high of 5.43 percent. As you know, food prices are subset of the retail price index. 5.43 per cent in 14 months. Clothing and footwear are at 197 months high. It is almost 15-20 years. It is the highest at 8.84 per cent.

Friends, do you know the amount of profiteering and money mopping this government has done in 8 years of Modi Sarkar by excise duty on diesel and petrol, simple figure, but astonishing figure. 26 lakh crores.

What a wonderful government policy!

They have gone and imposed duties up to 30 per cent on a multi-product like aluminium.

Friends lastly, the indirect tax is the worst. How is the poor man, the ordinary man going to live with the double whammy, a double kick, of inflation unprecedented and unemployment deplorable levels? Friday, April 08, 2022.
