Spokesperson: Shri Pawan Khera: Chairman of the Media and Publicity Department Shri Pawan Khera said that Modi was not only a compromised Prime Minister, but a “puppet and robot Prime Minister with control in someone else’s hands”. The Congress Spokesperson tore into Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s links with the convicted sex predator Jeffrey Epstein, with chronological details, which clearly suggest that Epstein had links with him (Modi). The Party also quoted an email where Epstein offered to arrange and then confirmed a meeting between Modi and then Trump aide Steve Bannon, saying, “Modi on board”.

“Biggest threat to India is the people who are governing India today. That is a cause of serious concern and worry”, Shri Pawan Khera remarked, while quoting an email of Epstein to Bannon where he suggests to him that “you (Bannon) should meet with Modi, I (Epstein) can set the meeting”. After Bannon told him to “please” arrange, Epstein replied to him, “Modi on board”. He pointed out that Epstein had access to Modi.

“Hence Prime Minister is compromised. Therefore, the PM is compromised. If Epstein can send an email to Bannon that Modi is on board, what does this mean?” Khera noted.

He said that Prime Minister Modi’s current visit to Israel must be seen in the same context, particularly at a time when the US was building up pressure and threatening to attack Iran, India’s old ally.

Shri Pawan Khera also gave details as to how Anil Ambani, a private person, had been regularly interacting with Epstein in connection with Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the United States. He asked in what capacity Ambani was interacting on behalf of the Government of India. He pointed out that the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Ambassador to the US were nowhere to be seen.

Pointing out that when Modi became the Prime Minister, India’s Middle East policy changed, he said there was a particular US-Israel lobby, which changed the direction of India’s foreign policy. He said India has a long-held stand of a two-state solution for the Middle East conflict on humanitarian grounds. He said that Modi was the first Prime Minister to visit Israel and it was apparently under pressure from the same US-Israel lobby of which Epstein was a part and parcel. He quoted an FBI statement saying that Epstein was a trained Mossad agent.

Shri Pawan Khera gave specific details and background on how Prime Minister Modi’s 2017 visits to the US and Israel were planned and organised through Epstein and Barak, and how the details were meticulously followed up by Anil Ambani. He referred to a specific email of March 2, 2017 from Anil Ambani to Epstein seeking his guidance on engaging with the White House regarding India-US relations and defence cooperation. He asked in what capacity Ambani was writing to Epstein and at whose behest.

He said that Ambani even asked Epstein if he could give him some insight as to what role Ehud Barak could play in India’s defence policy. “Anil Ambani must have been reporting to someone in India”, Khera noted.

Referring to India-Israel defence trade, he said - where India would spend its money and which arms and ammunition we should buy should be decided by the Indian government, experts and officers. “But who was deciding it?
