No lessons learnt by Modi Government

Spokesperson: Shri Pawan Khera: He said that 7 days have passed, but PM Modi has not uttered a single word of condolences on the Poonch terror attack (on April 20th) for the five Indian Army soldiers Havildar Mandeep Singh, Lance Naik Kulwant Singh, Lance Naik Debashish, Sepoy Harkrishan Singh, Sepoy Sewak Singh. Yesterday, PM Modi was seen cracking a rather crude joke on a ‘suicide of a girl’ in a ‘Godi Media’ event in Mumbai.

PM Modi has not come out with any reaction condemning the terror attack, even as reports indicate a Taliban link in the same.

The vehicle was attacked by possibly 6-7 terrorists, 5 soldiers were martyred on the spot. Over 50 bullet marks were spotted on the vehicle that shows intensity of the firing by terrorists. Multiple incidents of Armour Piercing Bullets in the past: But No lessons learnt by Modi Govt.

The Indian National Congress stands united with the nation in fighting terrorism. We want to ask the following questions: -

  1. Why is Modi Govt. silent on Poonch terror attack? Is it not true that at least 18 previous Major Terror Attacks have taken place on our Security Installations that include CRPF Camps, Army Camps, Air Force Station and Military Stations- Pulwama, Pampore, Uri, Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amarnath Yatra attack, Sunjwan Army Camp, where scores of our precious lives have been lost?

  2. Given that the Poonch attack has Taliban links, is it appropriate for Modi Govt. to start its diplomatic outreach and engagement with Taliban? Is it not true that Modi Govt has endangered our National Security, even as 1,249 terror attacks in J&K, in which, 350 civilians and died and 569 Jawans have been martyred? Thursday, April 27, 2023
