One year of Indo-China Conflict

Spokesperson: Smt. Supriya Shrinate: She said that it has exactly been a year to the supreme sacrifice of 20 of our brave hearts, who sacrificed their lives while defending our motherland in the Galwan valley and the entire nation pays homage to them. Today, some very important questions arise. In February, the Government had decided to disengage. Headlines were being chased, everybody was talking about it, but even then, the defence experts, the opposition, our men in uniform all had said that you cannot take China at face value. They will not go away. There are 4 or 5 things that I would like to bring to your notice.

The intention has always been to restore the status quo ante as of April2020, but that has not happened. China continues to occupy areas like Hot spring, Gogra, Depsang and in fact, in Depsang, the ‘Y’ junction, which is very crucial. China has built fortifications, air strips, airfield, and air base in that area and instead of pushing them away, we effectively pulled in the LAC, instead of extending it beyond.

We want to ask, what is the established policy as far as the families of the war veterans/martyrs are concerned? They are finding it very tough to make ends meet.

We only urge the Prime Minister to give up your ego, to give up your love for China. Banning apps is not going to solve the problem. You are misleading the country. Tuesday, June 15, 2021
