Venugopal, General Secretary (Organisation), AICC and Shri Jairam Ramesh, MP and General Secretary (Communications), AICC: Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge said -Today an issue has come before us, the statements made by today’s government, especially the Prime Minister and our Home Minister about Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar are very sad and they said this in a press conference yesterday without looking at the facts.

I want to tell you that whatever they have said till date about Babasaheb, about Jawaharlal Nehru, is all a lie. Every day our main issue was that Adani is looting this country and the people who are allowing him to loot, our attack was on them. But in between when the discussion of the Constitution came up, how did Shah ji understand it, who gave him that knowledge I don’t know that and he made fun of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar ji. We know that the Prime Minister is not going to sack him. So, to make sure that this issue reaches to the public, all our Party leaders, Shri Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Ji, all the Party MPs and Rajya Sabha members raised this issue together. We said that what Shah said is wrong, he should apologize and protests are happening all over India regarding this.

Today we had a protest, we came out from the statue of Babasaheb Ambedkar and we were coming in a line in a peaceful manner, but I don’t know what came to their mind. We were walking, they came to Makar Dwar and sat there to stop us, and the time of the parliament was also over and five minutes were left, so we wanted to go inside, but they stopped us at the door and stopped us as if they were there to show their muscle power, with so many of their male MPs there. So, the kind of environment that these BJP people have created, we will never tolerate it. There will be a nationwide movement against it and you must have also seen that movements are going on everywhere because of their mistake. So, I say just this much, now Rahul Gandhi ji will say.

Shri Rahul Gandhi said - Thank you Jairam ji, we have been saying since so long that the thinking of BJP-RSS is anti-constitutional, anti-Ambedkar ji’s thinking and they want to erase the memory of Ambedkar ji, his contribution, they want to end it and their minister, home minister directly showed their mindset in front of everyone.

We said that there should be an apology and he should resign, but he did not. Today again they have started a new distraction. The reality is that he has insulted Ambedkar ji, there should be an apology for that and the Home Minister should resign and the main issue which they are trying to erase, they are trying to divert that there is a case against Narendra Modi’s friend Adani ji in the United States.
