Messages on Congress’ Victory in Karnataka

New Delhi: On Congress’ victory in Karnataka Assembly Elections 2023, Congress President tweeted two separate messages on May 13, 2023, and said “All our Karnataka Congress Party workers, state leaders & AICC office bearers on the ground worked extremely hard to ensure this victory.

The collective leadership of the Congress Party, including Smt. Sonia Gandhi, Shri Rahul Gandhi and Smt. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra made it possible.”

“The Indian National Congress once again reiterates its solemn commitment to fulfil the aspirations of 6.5 Cr Kannadigas.

A transparent, accountable, people-friendly and welfare-oriented Govt. will be formed by the Congress Party.”

Meanwhile Shri Rahul Gandhi, former Congress President addressed the media at AICC Hdqrs, on May 13, 2023

He said I congratulate and thank the people of Karnataka, all the workers of the Congress Party in Karnataka and all our leaders who worked in Karnataka.

In Karnataka elections, the power of crony capitalists and the power of poor people contested against each other and power (of poor) defeated the power (of capitalists) and this will happen in every state.

The Congress Party stood with the poor in Karnataka, we fought on the issues of the poor and to my utmost satisfaction, the best thing is that we did not fight this battle with hatred or by using inappropriate words. We fought this battle with congeniality, love and an open heart. And the people of Karnataka have shown us that this country has greater affinity for love.

‘Hatred’ has given way to ‘Love’ in Karnataka. This is everyone’s victory. Above all, it is the victory of the people of Karnataka. We had made five promises to the poor people of Karnataka during the elections. I had said in my speech, Kharge Ji had said in his speech, all the leaders had said in their respective speeches that we have five promises to make. We will fulfil these promises on the first day, in the first cabinet meeting.

I would like to congratulate and thank the people of Karnataka once again from the bottom of my heart.

Namaskar! Jai Hind!
