‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan’ rally in MP’s Mhow

“You have to become like Ambedkar”: Shri Mallikarjun Kharge

Mhow (Madhya Pradesh): Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge on January 27, 2025, said that BR Ambedkar fought for the rights of the deprived people and urged people to follow in the footsteps of Ambedkar.

Congress is holding a massive ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan’ rally at the birthplace of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar in Indore’s Mhow on January 27, 2025, in which prominent Congress leaders across the country are participating.

Speaking on the occasion, Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge said, “Today, it is important to save the Constitution. We are holding a big rally here to save the Constitution and democracy.”
During his address, Congress President criticized the BJP and its ideological parent, the RSS, for questioning the patriotism of opposition parties. He cited historical statements by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Jawaharlal Nehru, following Mahatma Gandhi’s assassination in 1948.

Shri Mallikarjun Kharge also warned of the dangers of continued BJP and RSS dominance, claiming they are dividing society along religious lines. “If this continues, Dalits and Adivasis will face further marginalization, even being barred from entering temples,” he said. “Dalits and Adivasis must remember that their rights come from the Constitution, and they must not fall into the BJP-RSS trap.”

Referring to Rahul Gandhi, he said, “Rahul Gandhi is fighting on your behalf. He took out a Yatra from Kanya Kumari to Kashmir. For whom? For the people of this nation. To save the Constitution. To unite all the people. He undertook this journey. You have to also do this work.” The Congress rally was attended by Leader of Opposition Shri Rahul Gandhi, Congress-ruled states Chief Ministers, Members of the Congress Working Committee and senior Party leaders among others.

“Constitution is not just a book but thousands of years’ old thinking of India”: Shri Rahul Gandhi

Mhow (Madhya Pradesh): Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha, Shri Rahul Gandhi, slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), claiming that both parties are against the Indian Constitution and aim to dismantle it. Shri Rahul Gandhi was addressing a public gathering at the birthplace of Dr. BR Ambedkar in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, on January 27, 2025, where he also underlined that the Indian Constitution is not just a book but embodies thousands of years of Indian thought. The Indian Constitution is not just a book but thousands of years’ old thinking of India. There is a voice and thinking of great personalities of India in this Constitution,” said the Leader of Opposition (LS) Shri Rahul Gandhi.

He also took a jibe at RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, alleging that Bhagwat does not believe in India’s freedom on August 15, 1947, and considers that real freedom was achieved only after Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to power.

“This is a direct attack on the Constitution. They (BJP) tried to repeal the Constitution before the Lok Sabha election 2024,” he said. “They give all the contracts to two-three billionaires. All the wealth of India is being served to people like Adani and Ambani,” Shri Rahul Gandhi said. “Don’t forget that the more Adani and Ambani grow, the more money these billionaires get, the fewer jobs your children will get.” He further highlighted that common people, when wanting to marry off their children, have to take loans because they do not have money, and this is due to the lack of employment opportunities. The Congress leader also emphasized that billionaires have destroyed the country’s employment system. “Who is the owner of the privatization of the education and health system? The Indian education system is a system of stamps, a system of certification.” Crores of people think that after such certifications, after paying lakhs of rupees to the billionaires, their children will get employment. This is a blatant lie. Your children cannot get employment in this country, no matter what they do... The billionaires have destroyed the employment system of the country... If students from IIT or IIM are not getting employment, how will you get it,” he asked.
