
Meeting of Party General Secretaries, PCC Presidents and In-Charges
Congress to launch nationwide campaign against price rise, unemployment, paper leaks, electoral manipulation New Delhi: In organisational meeting of the Party General Secretaries, State in-charges and PCC President held at the AICC Headquarters on June 11, 2026. The Congress announced that a nationwide campaign would be launched against rising prices, unemployment and repeated paper leaks and electoral manipulation in the country. The decision was taken under the Chairmanship of Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge. It was attended among others by the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Shri Rahul Gandhi.
Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge said in his opening remarks, “The country was faced with serious challenges such as inflation, unemployment, exam scams, and social inequality. “Paper leaks in NEET and various recruitment exams, along with controversies related to the education system, have shaken the trust of millions of youth and their families”, he said adding, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Shri Rahul Gandhi has personally met with affected students and youth and has firmly presented their voice before the nation.
He said, “Unfortunately, we see that those institutions and systems, which took decades to build, are now being deliberately weakened”, he said, adding, “therefore, our responsibility is not only towards political struggle but also towards protecting India's Constitution, democracy, and social justice.”
Later briefing reporters, Congress General Secretary organisation KC Venugopal and General Secretary Communications Jairam Ramesh said that the campaign against the failures of the Modi government will begin soon and continue for next two-three months.
The nationwide campaign, Shri Venugopal added, was aimed at making the Prime Minister Narendra Modi accountable and answerable to the people of this country.
