The Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Shri Rahul Gandhi, took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of focusing on his “Mann ki Baat” rather than addressing pressing issues. Speaking at a rally in Srinagar on September 23, 2024, the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha said, “Modi only talks about his ‘Mann ki Baat,’ but not about the ‘kaam ki baat,’ which should include providing jobs and controlling rising prices.”

He further remarked on the changing political atmosphere, stating, “You must have heard about Modi’s ‘56-inch chest’ before the Lok Sabha elections. But have you noticed him these days? The mood has shifted. The INDIA alliance and Congress have altered Modi’s psychology,” he added, addressing the crowd in Srinagar.

He also accused PM Modi and the BJP of spreading division across the nation. “In the past 10 years, wherever PM Modi and the BJP go, they spread hatred. They make brothers fight each other, religions fight each other,” he said.

Shri Rahul Gandhi also spoke about the downgrading of Jammu and Kashmir from a state to a union territory, calling it a violation of democratic rights.He also said, adding that the people of the region deserve the restoration of full statehood.

We have psychologically defeated PM Modi, says Shri Rahul Gandhi in J&K

Surankote, Poonch: Senior Congress leader Shri Rahul Gandhi said on September 23, 2024, in J&K’s Poonch district that the Congress Party has “psychologically defeated” the Prime Minister. Waving flags and sporting Party stoles, the supporters, including women, cheered enthusiastically as Shri Gandhi took the stage.

Addressing a large NC-Congress election campaign rally in the Surankote area of Poonch district, Shri Rahul Gandhi said, “BJP and RSS people in J&K and other states spread hatred and violence. They make brother fight against brother. They only know to spread hatred and their politics is based on hatred. Hatred cannot be defeated by hatred. It can only be defeated by love. On one side there are people spreading hatred and on the other side are we, those who want to open the shop of love. During our Bharat Yatra, we opened the shop of love in every state in India.”

“Narendra Modi of today is not a shade of what he was in the past. They bring laws and we oppose them and they cannot pass laws now. We have defeated the psychology of Narendra Modi. When he came under pressure during the Lok Sabha polls, he said he was not ‘biological’ pretending to be in direct connection with God. This shows we have broken him psychologically by defeating his hatred with our love,” said the leader of opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha.

“Today, all your decisions are taken from Delhi, but we want your decisions should be taken in J&K. We wanted statehood before the election, but they did not do it. They divide people on the basis of region, language, and community. They are trying to divide Gujjars and Paharis. We will carry everybody together, give all of them their rights and move forward together,” said the Congress leader.
