‘What was PM doing when Bihar soldiers died’ — Rahul Gandhi raises Galwan issue at rally Nawada (Bihar): Congress leader Shri Rahul Gandhi trained his guns at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the deaths of Bihar regiment soldiers in the Galwan clash as he addressed his first rally ahead of the assembly election on 23rd October, 2020.

Shri Rahul Gandhi hit out at the speech Modi delivered earlier in the day, in which the PM bowed his head to the slain soldiers.

“PM talks about bowing down to the Bihar soldiers who lost their lives. The entire country bows down to them. But the question is, what was PM Modi doing when the soldiers lost their lives? The PM lied by saying China did not enter our territory,” Gandhi said.

Addressing a rally earlier, Modi had paid respects to the “Sons of Bihar” who lost their lives in the clash with Chinese soldiers at the Line of Actual Control in June. “Sons of Bihar lost their lives in Galwan Valley for the tricolour and ensured Bharat Mata’s head is held high… I bow my head at their feet and pay respects.”

Twenty soldiers, including a commanding officer, were killed in the clash on 15 June. Many of them were from the Bihar Regiment.

Shri Gandhi was speaking in Bihar’s Nawada district at a joint rally with RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav, the Grand Alliance’s chief ministerial candidate.

During his speech, Gandhi asked Modi to tell the people when he would “throw out” the Chinese who have taken 1,200 sq. km of Indian land.

“Don’t talk about bowing down here. Tell the people when you will throw out the Chinese who have invaded our territory,” Gandhi said. “When China has taken 1,200 sq. km of our land, PM Modi lied and said there is no one here.” Tejashwi keeps up attack on Nitish Kumar

While Gandhi attacked the PM on the India-China standoff issue, Tejashwi Yadav questioned the Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over issues of unemployment and poverty.

Speaking before Gandhi, Yadav said, “Nitish Kumar stayed inside the CM house for 144 days. But now he is out of his house. Why? Corona has not gone away, but he wants your vote so he has to step out. “Did Nitish Kumar give you jobs in 15 years, did he eradicate poverty? What happened to the promise of government jobs?” he asked.

Earlier Former Congress president Shri Rahul Gandhi addressed two election rallies, at Hisua in Nawada and Kahalgaon in Bhagalpur, to boost the electioneering for the first phase polls. Did PM Modi have tea with you all? Rahul Gandhi asks at Champaran rally Champaran: Addressing his election rally at Champaran, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on 28th October, 2020, doubled down on BJP-JD(U) for “destroying” Bihar as polling is underway in 71 constituencies of the state in the first phase of Bihar Assembly Election 2020.

“When Prime Minister Narendra Modi came here last time he promised that a sugar factory will be set up here and he will have tea with you all. Do you remember? Did he have tea with you?” Shri Rahul Gandhi said. The Congress leader said he was surprised to see Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s effigies getting burnt on Dussehra in Punjab. This is sad and should not happen as he is the Prime Minister of the country, but this is how Punjab farmers feel about him, Shri Rahul Gandhi added.

“What Nitish Kumar did to Bihar in 2006, PM Modi is doing the same to Punjab and to the rest of the country,” Shri Rahul Gandhi said referring to the three farm laws recently passed by Parliament.

Talking about Bihar’s unemployment, Shri Rahul Gandhi said, “Nowadays, PM Modi does not talk about jobs. Because Bihar people won’t believe in his lies anymore. Congress has been in Centre for decades. We know how to rule. But of course, we have some shortcomings. We can’t lie through our teeth.”

“Why do Bihar people have to go to other states for jobs? Do our Bihar brothers and sisters lack in anything? No, your CM and PM lack,” Rahul Gandhi said.

On Covid-19-induced lockdown, the Congress leader said, “Noteban and lockdown followed similar trends. PM Modi announced both at the last moment. Middle class and lower middle-class people suffered the most, while the industrialists were cushioned.”

Rahul Gandhi also addressed another rally at Kuseshwar Sthan in Darbhanga. Bihar Polls: Rahul Gandhi Attacks Modi Over Unemployment in Champaran Rally West Champaran: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on 28thOctober, 2020, launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, claiming that the PM was indifferent to the various problems plaguing the country. During his election campaign in Bihar’s West Champaran district today, the Congress leader also attacked Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over unemployment and on the issue of migration.

Addressing his rally at Valmiki Nagar, Shri Rahul Gandhi said he was pained to see that Prime Minister Modi’s effigy was burnt in Punjab on the occasion of Dussehra, but added that it reflected the “anger” harboured by the country’s farmers and youngsters.

“Youths and farmers of Punjab, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh are angry that our PM keeps making speeches with Bihar Chief Minister and talks about other countries, but does not address the problems confronting our country such as unemployment,” Shri Rahul Gandhi said.

PM Modi does not talk about unemployment in his speeches: Rahul Gandhi BETTIAH: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi 28th October, 2020 attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying he talks about other countries in his speeches but not about the problems facing India such as unemployment. He said that the Prime Minister and the Bihar Chief Minister used to raise the issue of unemployment earlier but no longer now.

“Now, the PM does not say in his speeches that he would give two crore jobs. Because the people of Bihar have realised that he had lied. I can guarantee that if the PM comes today and promises two crore jobs to youths, perhaps the crowd would shoo him off, telling him that he had lied,” Gandhi said. The Congress knows how to run a country, how to stand with farmers and give employment, but “We don’t know how to lie”, he said.

Criticising the Centre over the three recently passed farm laws, he said, its “pilot project” was implemented in Bihar in 2006 when the mandi system was abolished in the state. Not Scared Of “Modi Voting Machine” Or “Modi Ji’s Media”: Rahul Gandhi Patna/Araria: Congress leader Shri Rahul Gandhi took a swipe at the electronic voting machines (EVMs) used in elections and also at a section of the Indian media, saying he wouldn’t be perturbed by them in his war of ideology. “Whether it’s MVM (Modi Voting Machine) or Modi ji ka media (Modi’s media), I am not scared of them…Truth is truth, justice is justice. I am fighting a war of ideology against this man. We are fighting against their thoughts. We will defeat their thoughts,” he said at an Araria election rally in Bihar on 4th November, 2020.

In Araria, he said, “Narendra Modi says unpleasant things about me in his meetings. However, no matter how much hatred they try to spread, I always try to spread love. Hatred cannot defeat hatred, only love can. I won’t budge an inch until I defeat Narendra Modi.”

Madhepura: Earlier in the day, addressing a Madhepura rally, he hit out at Prime Minister Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for not helping the distressed people of Bihar during the coronavirus lockdown, and yet seeking votes from them now.

“If the Prime Minister of India had any place for farmers and labourers in his heart, he would have died instead of doing what he did during the lockdown. Entire Bihar knows this,” he said, also attacking the two NDA leaders over job creation. “When youths today ask Nitish Kumar during his public meetings about the jobs he had promised, he threatens them, chases them away and gets them thrashed,” Shri Rahul Gandhi alleged.
