On December 21, 2023, Congress Working Committee (CWC) unanimously had given an opinion that Shri Rahul Gandhi Ji should start a Yatra from East to West. Now, Shri Rahul Gandhi ji has also agreed to fulfil the wishes of the Congress Working Committee (CWC). So, All-India Congress Committee (AICC) has decided to hold a ‘Bharat Nyay Yatra’ from January 14, 2024 to March 20, 2024 from Manipur to Mumbai.

Certainly, this Yatra is going to interact with the youth of this country, women of this country, or marginalised people and different-different areas of the people. This Yatra will cover a distance of 6,200 kilometers. 6,200 kilometers and travel the following states: Manipur, Nagaland, Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and finally Maharashtra. Therefore, basically this Yatra is covering 14 states and 85 districts. Basically, the mode of the Yatra is a bus Yatra, bus Yatra allows maximum access to the people on the way, but it will also have short stretches of walking, every now and then. Congress Party is starting this ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ is going to be also the most historic Yatra of this country. Hon’ble Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge will flag off this yatra on January 14, 2024, at Imphal.

Shri Jairam Ramesh said that friends, as Venugopal ji has just informed you. During the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’, Rahul ji had raised three issues. He talked about economic disparities, talked about social polarization and made the public aware about the political dictatorship that has become a reality in our country today. So, these were the three big issues, at the time of ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’.

Now this journey is in the second phase ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ - For economic justice, for social justice and for political justice. Democracy has to be saved. The Constitution has to be saved. We have to show a new future, a bright future to crores of families who are suffering from inflation and unemployment and again start the process of uniting the society which is being divided.

So, first it was 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' to connect India and now through 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra', we will assure the people on behalf of the Congress Party, on behalf of Rahul Gandhi Ji, that the Congress Party is committed to the people, to the general public. Economic justice, social justice and political justice should be fully available.
