Chandrasekhar Rao’s promise of ‘Bangaru Telangana’ (golden Telangana) has turned into ‘Bangaru Kutumbam’ (golden family).

More than 2 lakh people attended Telangana Praja Garjana. Congress Vice President Shri Rahul Gandhi would also raise KCR’s absence at Osmania University’s centenary celebrations, which he attributes to the fear that youngsters would revolt.

Telangana’s KCR govt. run by land mafia, contractors

Congress vice-president blamed the NDA government over its alleged failure to implement the Land Acquisition Act.

Congress Vice President Shri Rahul Gandhi during his visit attacked the Central government over the state of education in the country, land acquisition rules and falling GDP. The Congress leader blamed the NDA government over its alleged failure to implement the Land Acquisition Act.

Alleging that the education sector is under threat, Shri Rahul Gandhi said that the education policy of the Congress led UPA government as well as free education to KG to PG levels free education remains unimplemented.

Shri Rahul Gandhi, this time, posed questions to the gathering of over a lakh, asking if the dream of Telangana had been achieved. He attempted to strike a chord with every section of the electorate, specifically farmers and unemployed youth, by mentioning the “unfulfilled promises” of the TRS.

Accusing KCR of shattering the dream of Telangana, Shri Rahul Gandhi said that the people of the region had demanded statehood in order to enjoy their rights on land, water and other resources. “But, one family in the State is exercising its right on all resources,” he charged.

AICC Vice President Shri Rahul Gandhi, on his visit to the state, called for his party cadre to build another “movement” to liberate Telangana from the “clutches” of Rao’s family, “which is working for contractors and land mafia”. He further asked party cadre to undertake door-todoor visits in every nook and corner of the State to ensure the Congress come to power in 2019.

“Go to every village and visit every household to convey the Congress message,” he told them, while asking Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy to lead a new movement to ensure the dream of Telangana was realized.

Congress Vice President, Shri Rahul Gandhi reached Hyderabad where he paid tribute to his father Rajiv Gandhi. He also paid respects to B R Ambedkar in Kukatpally on the way to Sangareddy.

KCR has only cared for his family Hyderabad:

Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi on 1st June, 2017 launched a frontal attack on the TRS government in Telangana, accusing Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of empowering only his kin, and blaming him for a lowperformance dispensation that has failed to honour poll promises. “Was Telangana created for KCR and his family? Is it Bangaru (golden) Telangana or Bangaru family?” Congress Vice President Shri Rahul Gandhi asked at the huge public meeting, the Telangana Praja Garjana.

“The Congress and Smt. Sonia Gandhi created Telangana to fulfil the longpending demand and dreams of the people. Students led the Telangana movement from the front, the farmers and the under privileged sacrificed. But, what you have got in return is a government that is working for contractors and land grabbers,” Shri Rahul Gandhi said.

This is Rahul Gandhi’s first visit to the State after Telangana was formed in 2014. The State Congress, hopes the party Vice- President’s visit will help and boost the moral of the party workers.

The Congress leader reminded the gathering that in 1979-80, Indira Gandhi had spoken at the same venue, promised jobs, and after she came to power, ensured that an Ordnance factory came up in Medak district. Shri Rahul Gandhi assured that the Congress will transform the State with opportunities and allround development.

Referring to agricultural woes, Congress Vice President Shri Rahul Gandjhi said the KCR government’s mis-governance has led to 2,900 suicides in three years, including 100 in Gajwel, which happens to be the CM’s constituency. “The TRS government claims they have waived loans. Then why are banks not giving fresh loans?” he countered. “On the other hand, the UPA government waived ¹ 70,000 crore of farm loans,” he said.

On employment, Shri Rahul Gandhi said KCR’s tall claim of one job for every home has come a cropper. “Forget one job, there is no job in any village.” Here, he drew a parallel with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who had promised jobs during his poll campaign. “But Modi’s three-year rule is more of ‘magic’ that real. There are no jobs, Make in India is a slogan and the country’s has the highest unemployment rate now.”

Even while leading the people on with false hopes, KCR had spend ¹ 350 crore on his home-cum-office in Hyderabad from the people’s hard-earned money. “Give the mandate to the Congress and we will show you how the dreams and aspirations of the poor, women, farmers and students can be realised,” Congress Vice President said.

The Special Category Status is not a gift to A.P. but a right Hyderabad :

The Special Category Status (SCS) was not a gift for Andhra Pradesh but a right granted to it by the Prime Minister and the Congress would grant it if it was elected in 2019, said AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi here on 4th June, 2017.

Congress Vice President was addressing a huge meeting on achieving SCS along with Opposition leaders like Samajwadi Party national president and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav, JDU former president and MP Sharad Yadav, RJD MP Jayaprakash Yadav, DMK leader Elangovan and CPI national leaders D Raja and Suravaram Sudhakara Reddy at the Andhra Muslim College Campus.

Launching a scathing attack against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Shri Rahul Gandhi alleged that the Prime Minister Modi assured in Thirupathi, at the foot hill shrine of Thirumala, that SCS would be accorded to AP for 10 years but ignored after coming to power. He proved himself that he had lied on the issue. Shri Rahul Gandhi further said Modi spoke about protecting Hindu Dharma but went back on a promise he made to the people of Andhra Pradesh in the presence of Lord Venkateswara in Tirupati before elections. Is this how he was going to protect Hindu Dharma, Shri Rahul Gandhi asked.

Explaining the huge benefit to the State from the SCS, Shri Rahul Gandhi said the beneficiary States got 90% of the funds as grant and not as loan. According to the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, the Centre should foot the entire bill for Polavaram but Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu did not want it. But the TDP and YSR are not fighting for special status? There must be some kind of pressure from Modiji.

‘Congress will fight for SCS’

Rahul Gandhi assures AP-SCS, if voted to power in 2019

He asked why the two parties of Andhra Pradesh the Telugu Desam and the YSR Congress were not interested in garnering these benefits for the people and wondered what grip Prime Minister Narendra Modi had over them and why they were afraid of him. He said the Congress party was not afraid of Modi and would fight to get the Status till the finish. “If the Congress party is voted to power in 2019, the first thing the Congress party will do is granting SCS to AP”, Congress Vice President Shri Rahul Gandhi assured.

TDP and YSR will not fight for you but Congress and other parties will fight for you, The AICC leader said the Congress along with all the Opposition parties would fight relentlessly in Parliament until it was granted.

Shri Akhilesh Yadav and Shri Sharad Yadav asked why the Telugu Desam and the YSR Congress parties were not utilizing the presidential elections to get the Status.

APCC chief Raghuveera Reddy said that they will continue the movement until AP is bestowed with SCS.
