This extended Working Committee took up several issues which had been mentioned by Mahatma Gandhi Ji at that point of time. Mahatma Gandhi Ji, in 1924, talked about equality, still country is raising that issue. Mahatma Gandhi talked about untouchability, still this country is raising that issue. Mahatma Gandhi talked about love and affection towards the community, still this country needs very much.

On the basis of that issue, a meeting of about four hours of 132 members of Congress Working Committee and Extended Working Committee was held at this historic place. We had elaborate discussion; more than 50 people spoke about the resolutions. We moved two resolutions; one is on Mahatma Gandhi and second is a Political Resolution. Both the resolutions have already been circulated. I think, there are major decisions. Hon’ble Congress President and former Congress President Shri Rahul Gandhi both spoke in depth and more than 50 leaders participated in the discussion. We finally decided to go for massive political campaign for one year.

2025 is going to be a ‘Sangathan Srijan Karyakram’, (‘Organisational Revamping Programme’). Lower to top, there will be an examination of accountability. There will be a thorough enquiry about the capability of the leaderships and we will do a massive organisational revamp. That ‘Karyakram’ will start immediately.

By taking spirit from this conference, ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan Abhiyan’ from December 27th, 2024 to January 26th, 2026; more than a year, continuous campaign including Padyatra and Campaigns in villages, block level, district level and state level rallies will be taken up. Throughout this year, December 27th, (2024) to January 26, (2026), more than one year, basically 13 months’ campaign. This will be led by the leaders, not only national leaders, state leaders, district leaders and lower-level leaders… in a state from one village to the extreme another village padyatra will be there, seminars will be there, public meeting will be there, public rallies will be there… this is going to be a massive campaign. In that campaign, we will raise the attack on Constitution, we will raise the degradation of the values of the Constitution. Certainly, we will raise the common people’s issues like price rise and corruption. So, this is going to be a massive political campaign of a political party for 13 months.

One of the major announcements is- in the month of April, we will have an AICC session in Gujarat for Mahatma Gandhi Ji… As part of this campaign, we will do an AICC conference, there will be a delegate conference in Gujarat. These are all the major decisions we took in this extended working committee meeting.
