Chandigarh: While reacting to the budget 2022-23 presented by the Chief Minister in the Haryana Vidhan Sabha, President, Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee, Kumari Selja said that people of the state had not got anything in the budget for which the alliance government could be praised.
In a statement issued here on March 08, 2022, Kumari Selja said that due to the anti-farmer policies of this government, the farmers of Haryana were frustrated and disappointed. It was expected from this budget that the farmers would get some relief, but this government had once again shown its anti-farmer mentality. It was expected that the government would make some important announcement towards employment generation, Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers were expecting that their demands would be accepted, but this government proved to be a failure on their expectations.
Kumari Selja said that there was nothing special in this budget even for the Scheduled Castes of the state. During the tenure of the present government, the debt on Haryana had increased from Rs. 70000 crores to Rs. 2.5 lakh crores. The govt. did not mention as to how it would repay such debt.
Kumari Selja said that in the last 11 months, 70 percent of the budget released by this government for various departments, was not spent even. It was very unfortunate that the government was not able to spend its budget on development works in time and the remaining amount gets lapsed.
