Dharna at Jantar Mantar

New Delhi: Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Ch. Anil Kumar extended his support to the nearly 4500 ad hoc employees of NDMC, sitting on dharna at Jantar Mantar on February 28, 2022, demanding regularization of their services and hike in wages. He said that NDMC employees on temporary rolls have been demanding that they be put on Regular Muster Rolls (RMR) and those on RMR should be made permanent employees.

Shri Anil said that the ulterior motive of both CM Arvind and the BJP is to deny Government entitlements like pension, house, medical and retirement to the ad hoc NDMC employees by not regularizing them. He said that the parents and grand-parents of the NDMC ad hoc employees had served the organization, and have been staying in the NDMC quarters, but they have been asked to vacate within two months.

Ch. Anil Kumar warned that Congress will object any move to privatize NDMC and other Government jobs, to render lakhs of youth jobless.
