Ahmedabad: A Press conference was organized by GPCC on June 26, 2022 at Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan, Ahmedabad against the Agnipath scheme.

AICC Spokesperson Alka Lamba and PCC President Shri Jagdish Thakor addressed the press and said that the scheme called “Agnipath” is in fact a path of destruction for the youth as it is a cruel and deadly joke against the unemployed and the youth who want to join army.

The BJP Central Government announced Agnipath scheme without any wider consultations, subverting the long-standing traditions and ethos of the armed forces and also devaluing theirmorale.

The Indian National Congress, carrying the proud legacy of fighting to protect our national interest, from day one, opposed this scheme, exposing its far-reaching impact on national security.
