Kanpur: The 50th Anniversary of the Bangladesh Liberation War 1971, under the aegis of the Ex-Servicemen Department of the City Congress Committee, Kanpur North, was celebrated as Vijay Diwas on July 29, 2021, at the Congress Headquarters, Tilak Hall.

On this occasion, the Chief Guest Colonel Zahid Siddiqui, Chairman, Uttar Pradesh Ex-Servicemen Department, State Coordinator Subhash Mishra and newly nominated City President of the department, Major Ajmer Singh, were given a grand welcome with garlands. Naushad AlamMansoori, the President of the City Congress Committee Kanpur North, appreciated the bravery and valor of the then successful and fearless Prime Minister of the country, Smt. Indira Gandhi.
