Chittorgarh, Rajasthan: Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge on April 4, 2024, launched a blistering attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling him a “Sardar of liars” addressing an election rally in Rajasthan’s Chittorgarh.Shri Mallikarjun Kharge alleged that the Prime Minister is not concerned about the country but he is busy abusing the Gandhi family. “He wants to take the people of the country with him by torturing them. He always keeps lying,” he said.

“Modi says ‘I have a 56-inch chest, I will not be scared’. If you are not afraid then why have you left a large part of our land for China. They are coming inside and you are sleeping. Have you taken sleeping pills? Have they taken opium from the fields of Rajasthan… and fed you?” he said in Hindi.

“Modi is a ‘Sardar of liars.’Nobody from the Gandhi family became PM or Minister since 1989, yet Modi talks about dynastic politics. The members of the Gandhi family sacrificed their lives for the country,” Congress President said.

Congress Party is fighting to Save Democracy and Constitution in the Country: Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge

Jaipur, Rajasthan: Congress National President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge has said that Congress is fighting to save Democracy and the Constitution in the country. Addressing an election event of the Congress Party in Jaipur on April 6, 2024, in which the Party launched its manifesto ‘Nyay Patra’, Congress President said that Congress worked for the development in 55 years of its rule, created infrastructure, made institutions like IIT, IIM but BJP was only taking credit by flagging off trains on tracks laid by the Congress governments.

Shri Mallikarjun Kharge also accused the BJP of stealing the word ‘Guarantee’ and said that Congress governments fulfilled guarantees in states where it was in rule. He said that Congress is ready to give account of the work done in 55 years.

Addressing the massive gathering at the rally, Senior Congress leader and former Congress President Smt. Sonia Gandhi claimed that for the last 10 years, the country has been in the hands of a government that left no stone unturned to promote unemployment, inflation, economic crisis and inequality.

Addressing the event earlier, the Party’s National General Secretary Smt. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra referred to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren’s arrest by federal agencies to claim that the opposition was under attack under the BJP rule at the Centre.

Undercurrent in INDIA bloc’s favour, BJP copying Congress guarantees: Shri Mallikarjun Kharge

Kalaburagi, Karnataka: Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge claimed there is no ‘Modi ki guarantee’ and the BJP is “copying” the Congress guarantees already implemented in Karnataka, Telangana and Himachal Pradesh, while he pointed out there is an invisible under-current in favour of ‘INDIA’ bloc across the country. Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge was addressing a rally in Kalaburagi on April 12, 2024.

Alleging that the central government has failed to make any contribution to Karnataka, he said, “What is your (BJP’s) guarantee? Now, he (Modi) is going around saying ‘Modi ki guarantee’, “Where is your (BJP’s) guarantee? Tell us.”

“If poor people are surviving, it’s because of MGNREGA and the five guarantees of the Congress government in Karnataka,” he said. “There is an undercurrent. It’s not visible. Why is Modi touring so extensively these days? Because there is an undercurrent in favour of the INDIA bloc. That’s the reason he is going to narrow lanes and holding road shows,” Congress President said.

Central investigating agencies such as the ED and the Income Tax Department are being “misused to force the corrupt to join the BJP”, he alleged. Shri Mallikarjun Kharge, the Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha, has decided not to contest polls from Kalaburagi Lok Sabha segment - having won Assembly elections nine times in a row since 1972 and Lok Sabha polls twice from Kalaburagi in 2009 and 2014.
