INC and DMK jointly organised an event Commemorating the 134th Birth Anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar

On 27th April 2025, the Indian National Congress (INC) and the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) jointly organised a commemorative event in honour of the 134th birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Indian Constitution and a towering figure in the fight for social justice, equality, and human rights.

This significant event brings together leaders, students, members of civil society and the legal fraternity to reflect upon Dr. Ambedkar’s enduring legacy and the relevance of his vision in contemporary India. The program included a keynote address by Dr. Abhishek Manu Singhvi (Senior Advocate and Member of Parliament), focused on the concept of Federalism, the Indian Constitution, and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’ contributions to social reform, and constitutional law in the Indian Constitution.

The event was held on 27th April 2025 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, with senior leaders from both parties in attendance. In presence will be Shri P. Chidambaram (Senior Advocate and Member of Parliament), Dr. Abhishek Manu Singhvi (Senior Advocate, Member of Parliament and Chairman of the AICC Law, Human Rights and RTI Department), Shri NR Elango (Senior of Advocate and Member of Parliament, DMK), Mr. Muhammad Ali Khan (National Secretary, (AICC Law, Human Rights and RTI Department), along with other esteemed members of the Tamil Nadu Pradesh Congress Committee.
